Speech therapy at Speakable supports children from toddlerhood through adolescence in developing clear, confident communication skills. Our licensed speech-language pathologists provide personalized assessments and engaging, evidence-based therapy tailored to each child’s needs—whether they're saying their first words, improving speech clarity, building vocabulary, or strengthening social communication. We work with a range of diagnoses, including speech delays, language disorders, autism spectrum disorder, apraxia of speech, and stuttering. Therapy sessions are playful and practical, designed to feel fun while driving meaningful progress. We also equip parents with strategies to support learning at home, because consistency is key. No referral is needed to get started, and many private insurance plans offer coverage. We often have additional availability if you give us a call. At Speakable, we’re here to help every child find their voice and thrive.

L’orthophonie chez Speakable accompagne les enfants, du tout-petit à l’adolescent, dans le développement de compétences en communication claires et confiantes. Nos orthophonistes agréés offrent des évaluations personnalisées et une thérapie engageante, fondée sur des données probantes, adaptée aux besoins uniques de chaque enfant—qu’il s’agisse de dire ses premiers mots, d’améliorer la clarté de la parole, d’enrichir le vocabulaire ou de renforcer la communication sociale. Art Therapy

Art therapy uses creative expression to support emotional healing and personal growth. Through drawing, painting, and other art forms, clients explore feelings, reduce stress, and build coping skills—all with the guidance of a licensed therapist.

Valerie is a registered Speech-Language Pathologist with the Ordre des Orthophonistes du Québec (OOAQ). She specializes in early language intervention, speech sound development and literacy, and is passionate about language and kids in general. Valrie enjoys working alongside families towards their goals and celebrating successes big and small, and strives to tailor therapy to the individual needs of the client while making it fun at the same time. She is a strong believer in learning through play and in applying research to her daily practice.

Fayth is a registered Speech-Language Pathologist with l’Ordre des orthophonistes et audiologistes du Québec (OOAQ) and a member of Speech-Language Audiology Canada (SAC). She earned a Bachelor of Arts in Criminology with a concentration in Psychology from Carleton University and a Master of Science in Speech-Language Pathology from the University of Alberta. Fayth has experience working with children of various ages, ranging from preschool to adolescence. She has expertise in several areas, including receptive and expressive language, childhood apraxia of speech, articulation, and phonological disorders. She also received specialized training in fluency disorders (stuttering). Fayth is passionate about helping others reach their communication goals and achieve their full potential. In her free time, she enjoys reading, skiing, biking and spending time with friends and family.

Rachael is a Speech-Language Pathologist who is a member of the Ordre des Orthophonistes et Audiologistes du Québec (OOAQ) and of Speech-Language and Audiology Canada (SAC). She has undergraduate degrees in Arts and Science from the University of New Brunswick, and moved to Montreal in 2012 to obtain her Master of Science in Speech-Language Pathology from McGill University. Rachael has worked with clients ages 2-21 in the areas of articulation, motor speech, receptive and expressive language, social communication, and augmentative and alternative communication. Much of her experience has been in working with children with ASD and developmental disabilities. Outside of work, Rachael enjoys travelling and spending time with her family.

Amanda is a registered Speech-Language Pathologist with l’ordre des orthophonistes et audiologistes du Quebec (OOAQ). She has a background in child development research, assessing and following developmental trajectories of clinical populations across the first years of life. Amanda provides treatment to pediatric clients with a variety of speech and language needs, including articulation, phonological disorders, apraxia, and expressive/receptive language disorders. Amanda is passionate about helping children and their families, and is dedicated to providing the highest standard of treatment to her clients.

Navigating life’s challenges can feel overwhelming, and asking for help is a brave first step. Melissa can offer a caring, creative, and supportive space for children and their families. As an art therapist and counselor, she approaches each session with understanding and compassion, recognizing how the world around us shapes our experiences. Melissa uses gentle, trauma-informed, and anti-oppressive methods to help children explore their emotions, build coping skills, and see challenges from new perspectives. Sessions can include art-making, play, or conversation—no prior experience with art is needed. Melissa’s background includes supporting kids with ADHD, anxiety, grief, big life changes, and more. Every child is unique, and she tailors her approach to their needs, helping them feel safe, heard, and empowered.
